At this time of year, we often look back on what we’ve done in the last twelve months. It has been another exciting year here at the studio which seems to have zipped by in the blink of an eye. Like most of you, we have been busy planning and galvanising ourselves for what is likely to be a difficult next few year of recession. We have been looking to diversify our portfolio to include a wider variety of projects. Creating stunning basements remains at the core of our business but we have been doing more above-ground projects and working with some brilliant partners in so doing.

Working Collaboratively

This year we have been continuing our partnership with Knowles Construction and Auto Cave, creating some of the most impressive basement and underground residential parking solutions in the country. One non-parking-related basement project in Buckinghamshire really lit up our year. It was completed early this year and remains one of our most impressive to date (outside of London).

We also worked with our new partner Wohr Parking to create an amazing, Bond-villain-style parking garage for those with limited space. While car stacking sounds like something from a mid-western Monster Truck show, it’s actually an incredibly elegant solution to parking in places with limited space. They are also fantastic for securing precious car collections and keeping your pride and joy away from prying eyes.

Working innovatively

We are constantly having to be innovative in our design schemes, no basement project is the same but one thing that does stay constant is the quality of our partner recommendations. When it comes to water management in basements the only products, we recommend come from our friends at Delta Membranes.

This year saw the release of their latest product innovation – Delta Amphibia, a unique membrane which can be used both horizontally and vertically making it suitable for floors and walls.
